Care and Companions is an Introductory Care Agency which means we help match you, as a self-employed Caregiver, with Clients who are seeking support from someone with your skill sets, interests and personality.
Benefits of working with C&C
- Organise work and hours to fit around your other commitments.
- Choose your own pay rate – you will typically earn between £18 – £22 per hour, normal weekday rate, or £850 – £1200 per week for live-in.
- Your profile displayed on the C&C website for potential clients to view.
- Choose the types of care you’re happy to give.
- Contact your clients directly following initial introductions.
- We invoice clients weekly on your behalf, and you will be paid weekly.
- Take part in social events and meet other C&C Carers.
- We support you in setting up as self-employed, which is very straight-forward.
- If you feel you’d like help with your accounts, access to a local accountancy firm, who will complete and submit your tax return and offer advice and support for a fixed price of £75.00 + VAT per year.
- C&C also offers you:
° access to an enhanced DBS Check at a cost of £50.00 (plus £13.00 to register with the DBS update service).
° Insurance cover (public liability up to £2m) and training, for £8.00 per month.

Be available to provide advice and support throughout the time you are caring for C&C Clients.

The next steps
If selected you’ll be invited to a face-to-face interview in the High Wycombe area. The interview will assess your strengths and competencies and ensure you have the qualities necessary to become a Carer through C&C.
If successful at interview, we will proceed to check your documentation, obtain references, check/provide access to required training.
All candidates are required to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Enhanced Disclosure.
